How the Selection Works

Selection begins with nominations from clients, colleagues, and community members who acknowledge businesses for their exceptional service. From there, a review panel evaluates each nominee—examining service quality, client experiences, and overall reputation—to determine the top three finalists in each category. Illuma is thrilled to be held in such company and looks forward the finalist and winners annoucements.

Elyse Stacey

Elyse Stacey was born and raised in Vancouver, and after completing her undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto, she returned to her hometown to begin her professional journey. She graduated with high distinction from the UofT, earning a spot on the Dean's List while double majoring in psychology and anthropology.

Elyse thoroughly enjoyed her studies, especially when evolutionary theories intersected with psychology, allowing her to explore social biases that continue to shape the world today. This unique perspective along with working in various research positions, where she witnessed firsthand the gender inequalities that persist within and beyond academia, fuels her desire to support women facing adversity, whether in personal or legal matters.

In her current role as Client Service Coordinator and Office Administrator at Illuma Law, Elyse thrives in a collaborative, client-centered environment. She finds a significant amount of intrinsic motivation and satisfaction assisting our clients in need. In the future, she aspires to grow further in the legal field, focusing on legal support or exploring managerial/human resources opportunities.

Outside of work, Elyse is passionate about the performing arts, reading (especially Stephen King), staying active, and traveling to connect with new cultures.
